Burt Lum is a Digital Ronin, a masterless warrior on the journey through cyberspace. IRL, he  an Innovation Team member at HMSA. Previously he was a Sr. Product Manager at Hawaiian Telcom and has been in involved with telecommunications and the Internet for the past 25 years. He started one of Hawaii’s first Internet data centers providing broadband access to ISPs and host services to companies like Akamai and Digital Island. He authored a column in the Honolulu Advertiser for 6 years covering Internet trends and cyber culture. Burt also consults for company's interested in leveraging technology to advance business strategies. His current online activities include social networking, blogging, video and audio podcasting, online presence, citizen journalism and produces a tech show on Hawaii Public Radio called Bytemarks Cafe.
